PHILADELPHIA, PA, March 2004 — Philadelphia Health Management Corporation (PHMC) has teamed up with Solucient, the nation’s largest provider of health care information, to give Community Health Data Base Members a new view of the Household Health Survey. This summer, PHMC incorporated Solucient's Household Health View segments into the 2002 Southeastern Pennsylvania Household Health Survey. The result is an expanded and enriched SPSS data file that provides a new perspective on the psychographic traits of local populations.
There is no extra charge from either Solucient or PHMC to use these new Data Base variables. In addition to PHMC’s appended Household Health Survey data files, Members receive a User’s Guide to Solucient’s Household Health View Segmentation system as well as the HealthStyles Handbook, which describes consumers’ attitudes toward health care services.
Members who are also subscribers to Solucient’s planning, marketing and clinical improvement tools can further connect their findings to Solucient’s services that support media and mailing list selection, identification of target segments for specific health services, and greater precision in creating consumer messages, identifying co-marketing opportunities with other companies (like stores or banks), and understanding the specific hospital attributes (high touch/high tech) that those segments look for in choosing a hospital.
