Becoming Outcomes Driven in Workforce Development: Strategies for Using Data to Improve Performance
November 9, 2007
This one-day workshop builds on strategies highlighted in the recent Working Ventures report, Good Stories Aren’t Enough – Becoming Outcomes Driven in Workforce Development. Using interactive exercises and examples gleaned from leading practitioners, workshop attendees will learn practical tools for increasing staff buy-in to working with data, including:
Identifying key organization-wide performance indicators;
Targeting “interim milestones” for teams and individuals;
Creating evidence-based progress reports;
Using data to examine factors influencing performance; and
Weaving the use of data into ongoing organizational life.
We strongly encourage that organizational teams of two people attend, to better plan how to implement the ideas explored in the workshop. An ideal team might be made up of senior management and supervisory staff.
Location: Transitional Work Corporation, 100 S. Broad Street, 7th floor (Land Title Building, between Broad & Chestnut).
Date: November 9, 2007
Time: Registration begins at 8:30am; program to be held from 9am to 4pm
Cost: $100 for first participant; $75 for each additional participant
This workshop is offered in coordination with P/PV's Performance Benchmarking Project funded by the Annie E. Casey Foundation. Two staff from organizations participating in this project will be able to attend the workshop tuition-free.
